Joris Moerkerken

Managing Partner (Business Operations)

Armed with a Master's in mechanical engineering, Joris's journey started with experiencing the growth of a startup and successfully incorporating the production of foldable shipping containers in Chinese factories. Joris blends technological expertise, business acumen, and operational knowledge. Known for his balanced, independent mindset, he adeptly manages complex projects, bridges cultural differences, and resolves operational challenges with a responsible approach.

Arthur Meijers

Managing Partner (Product Development)

Arthur, a mechanical engineer with a Master’s degree in transport engineering and logistics, brings extensive experience from engineering and production of shipping containers. He excels in managing large, innovative design projects, leading technical teams, and overseeing the different interfaces between parts and departments. Arthur’s unique skill set comprises mechanical engineering expertise, the ability to activate knowledge in others, and inventive problem-solving. As a member of ISO Technical Committee 104, Freight containers, Arthur contributes actively to standardization improvements.

Jasper Xu

Operations Manager

Jasper brings a wealth of experience in logistics and operations from his base in Jiangsu province, China. With a Bachelor of Science in International Business and entrepreneurial experience from founding his own interpretation agency, Jasper has honed his skills in organizing and managing complex logistical processes. His role at Box2Build leverages his exceptional organizational abilities and extensive network within Asia's logistical chain, ensuring efficient coordination and execution of services. Jasper's expertise is pivotal in enhancing our operational capabilities and streamlining logistics for projects across the region.

Li Ming

Quality Manager

With a strong foundation in metal processing, Li Ming began his career in a shipping container factory in Guangdong in 1990. His journey from workshop staff to full line manager endowed him with deep insights into metal structures and the dynamics of Chinese factories. Joining our team in 2015, he currently oversees quality control for projects in factories, including all sub-suppliers. His feedback on designs ensures effective production in factories, reflecting the importance of his role in maintaining high-quality standards.

Teun Zanbergen

Engineering Manager

With over a decade of expertise in composite design, analysis, certification, and manufacturing processes, Teun enriches Box2Build as a Senior Engineer. Specializing in special container design and Finite Element Method (FEM) analysis, Teun's proficiency spans across critical engineering disciplines. At Box2Build, he leverages his extensive experience to lead structural analysis for custom foldable and special shipping containers, alongside pioneering 3D design innovations for foldable containers. Teun's career is distinguished by his lead roles in aerospace component engineering and process engineering for high-tech composite products.

Yaling Sun

Sourcing Manager

Yaling, with her vibrant career spanning various pivotal roles in the international trade and logistics sector, recently served as a Supplier Coordinator in the high-tech industry in the Netherlands. In this capacity, Yaling played a critical role in coordinating key suppliers, ensuring seamless supply chain operations for high-tech manufacturing processes. Her extensive experience, marked by a deep understanding of cross-cultural communication and logistics management, has been instrumental in enhancing operational efficiency and supplier relations. Yaling's diverse skill set, combined with her strategic approach to supplier coordination, underscores her valuable contribution to maintaining and elevating quality standards within the supply chain.

Nico brings to Box2Build a wealth of international management experience, honed over years at a corporate across various domains from technology and sales & marketing to product management and general management. The transition to his own firm was motivated by a desire to more directly influence and guide individuals through career transitions and organizational improvements, leveraging both his business acumen and behavioral understanding. His role involves leveraging a vast network to provide strategic solutions. Nico's diverse background and empathetic approach to consulting make him a pivotal asset to Box2Build, driving forward our mission with strategic insight and a deep understanding of both the market and organizational behavior.
