  • What type of goods can be transported in foldable containers?

    A variety of goods can be transported in foldable containers, similar to standard containers, including general cargo, consumer goods, machinery, and more.

  • If we make changes to our containers, are they still certified for shipping?

    We often get asked: “Could I add a window or door into my container and still transport it on the sea to the final destination?” The answer is no, once the structural integrity of the container is changed the container has to be CSC certified again with the changes before it can go on a vessel.

  • Do you only design and produce containers, or also other shipping equipment?

    We mainly design and produce containers, however we also did several other projects. Depending on the requirements we could decide if the project suits our capabilities.

  • What is the cost difference between foldable and traditional containers?

    While foldable containers can initially cost 2-4 times more than traditional, non-foldable ones, it's important to consider the potential savings they offer in the long term.

    The benefits of foldable containers include:

    Bundle handling in ports and terminals: Foldable containers, once collapsed and bundled, take up less space and can be transported in bundles, leading to more efficient handling.

    Storage costs in depots and terminals: Foldable containers, when not in use, can be collapsed and stacked, thus drastically reducing storage space and corresponding costs. This can cut down the demurrage costs to a quarter of traditional containers.

    Transportation costs: Collapsed bundles mean that one truck can transport the equivalent of four full-sized containers, leading to considerable savings on trucking costs.

    Stowage advantages in ships: Collapsed bundles can be stored below deck, allowing for more efficient use of space (and reshuffling) on shipping vessels.

    Environmental benefits: By improving transportation efficiency and reducing the number of empty trips, foldable containers significantly decrease CO2 emissions.
