HTC Checkpoint
ISO Design help, manufacturer selection and certification of the HTC Checkpoint project: a 20ft gate platform container for military use.
HTC Parking and Security is the market leader in the development, production and installation of Speedgates. Speedgates are superfast foldaway gates that ensure a safe entrance to all kinds of terrains.
HTC invented a mobile vehicle entrance solution for the armed forces and emergency relief organisations.. After creating and testing a prototype of the Checkpoint, HTC came to Box2Build for assistance in the “operational evaluation stage” for getting ISO certification for The Checkpoint container and it’s special features like the folding ramps.
This resulted in a very close cooperation to improve the design to be able to cope with the stresses introduced during container shipments and to comply with all the safety regulations stated in the specific ISO and UIC codes.
Box2Build further helped in the selection of a suitable container manufacturer (in this case a local manufacturer was found best suited). And the last step in this process was to coordinate the certification of this completely new product with the class society (Lloyd’s Register), which was passed with flying colours in the first attempt.
